Vulnerable Road User Safety

Our VT Turnaware PDS blind spot camera system is supported by sophisticated algorithms to better predict the approach of VRUs, alerting the driver. In combination with the VT TURNALARM, which alerts the VRUs when you’re getting ready to turn in low-speed environments, these systems are also sold as the DVS Progressive Safe System. As the name suggests, this combined system is fully compliant with the Direct Vision Standard and can be fitted to any commercial vehicle.

We also carry a range of products that can effectively alert and inform VRUs of your presence, risk area, and intentions. The VT Warning Alarm system includes all the messages you’d expect as well as the option to include customised messages. We recommend using this in combination with our VT Lightboard or VT Illuminated Turnsign, both of which are designed to catch the eye and attention of other road users where needed.

The Lightboard can also protect workers who may be out of the vehicle but in or close to the road by alerting other drivers to their presence.
