A council in Wales has taken action to improve safety at its recycling centres, thanks to Vision Techniques.
Gwynedd Council have installed Vision Techniques AI Cameras on a range of plant machinery in their recycling centres.
Here at Vision Techniques we are known for being at the front of new technology, and the new systems fitted at Gwynedd are no exception.
The new camera systems, have AI Technology incorporated into them, and warn the operatives if anyone comes within the programmed detection zone of an operational vehicle.
The systems have an external speaker to warn anyone that it detects, and tells them that the vehicle is in operation, as well as giving the driver a visual of the person via an in cab monitor and an audible warning.
Endaf Williams, Waste and Recycle Treatment Site Manager at Gwynedd Council, said the camera systems have been a success and he would recommend Vision Techniques to other councils.
He said: “We installed several of the Vision Techniques AI Cameras over the summer period whilst our recycling centres were at their busiest, and the systems worked so effectively.
“We are so happy with the systems as they make our recycling centres a safer place for our operatives and the general public.
“We would recommend the cameras and Vision Techniques for all your safety and security needs.”
Dave Prince, Sales Director at Vision Techniques, said: “I’ve worked with Gwynedd Council for many years, so when we had a conversation about making their recycling centres a safer place, I knew we had the perfect solution for them.
“Our AI Camera Systems can be configured to meet each of our customer’s requirements, because not one solution fits all.”

Using the power of new technology and innovation, we give our customers the ultimate protection in commercial vehicle safety trusted by some of the largest fleets throughout the UK.
